Dashmart orders really are the absolute worst. They’re normally a way longer distance than most restaurant orders and the customers tip little to nothing. Sometimes I pause my dash if I’m driving near my city’s Dashmart so I don’t get orders from there because they suck more often than not and I don’t want my AR to suffer.

No problem there are a few places I just won't take orders from 90% of the time for this reason. I typically only do $2/m and Cash orders/alcohol delivery.
2
u/KingCapital4478d ago
that’s a good standard to have, i also only do $2/m. Sometimes when i’m desperate ill take things $1.50/m😒

Yeah slow times hit, when they do I'll often take a break off app for the 30min pause. The. When I come back it's usually better 😆. Got to wait for the people leaving after the peak for the bounce back.

No problem best up luck. It takes some trial and error but once you get a feel for your market it's pretty easy. Also remember when local banks and paydays are 😜

Even in Colorado, I dread DashMart orders. 1 exception out of all my orders from there was delivering flowers to a woman’s parents & seeing the surprise on their face & being tipped $5 from the woman & $20 from the parents. So cute

love to hear this! priceless reaction

u/threadcrapper7d ago
delivering flowers is pretty cool - the people are happy to get them! i'm opposite - i always take a dash mart order - and pickup a DoorDash and Chill cookie for when I get home.

It's like any other place, but since they're not everywhere the distances can be far. If you're doing overnight shifts, Dash Mart is open 24/7 and it's prime for picking up orders. You'll get people ordering OTC medicine, chips, frozen food, ice cream, etc.

The only good ones by me are the loveable stoners buying edibles but you can tell which those are before accepting. The rest are sh*t.

I had a 6 dollar order as my first offer of the day yesterday and was 16 miles. Declined that really fast lol. Ended up getting 2 dollars per mile for a majority of the shift.

Customers feel like cause they getting convenience store item they don’t have to pay as much
When they get ice cream or more grocery store items like (frozen pizza)they pay more

u/KingCapital4478d ago

And DashMart orders ALWAYS drop me off in the 'hood. I live in Chicago. Did a delivery to a REALLY scary block last night from DashMart. And of course, I didn't feel safe - but I wasn't asked.
1
u/KingCapital4478d ago
same bro, in milwaukee it took me to the hood and i heard gun shots and got into a road rage incident. Our lives aren’t worth risking for a measly 10 bucks! stay safe

u/Clear-Ad-92388d ago
I felt like I was in a bad episode of The Chi. For $6.50.
2
u/zaggg18d ago
They used to pay well. Like all the other orders, they no longer pay well.

2
u/KingCapital4478d ago
seriously! I laughed out loud 😆 i bet it’s some heavy ass sh*t too😑
1
u/Ok_Gear84108d ago
They can wait into the end of day for someone to do this. Happy you said HELL NO TO THE NO NO NO.

u/NiceAir88d ago
Wingstop and dashmart are the worse, almost tempted to ask to be banned from dashmart would save my AR, if I could only just do shop and pay I totally would since I like it better and pays better.
1
u/KingCapital4478d ago
shop and pay isn’t too bad i agree, depends on the store tho. i refuse to go in a mall
2
u/foreverfal558d ago
If I have to pick up an order from a mall, bet I’m parking in the fire lane with my hazards on. A couple businesses in one mall actually tell me to do this, while a business in another mall tells me I can’t even park in their designated to-go spots. (Looking at you, Cheesecake Factory.) I just park in the loading area or fire lane, walk into the mall with confidence, and peace out as soon as possible.

1
u/luiigee11748d ago
Yeah they’re terrible! I always pause when I’m near state and tosa. Quick question how have these last couple weeks been for you?
1
u/KingCapital4478d ago
last few weeks haven’t been too bad for me. i’ve had some nights i make over 100 bucks in 4 hours. others where im sitting in my car waiting for a decent order contemplating how comfortable i could be in bed💀 how about you bro?
1
u/IxLOVExLAMP7d ago
Generally they are bad but they've improved in my market.
1
u/KingCapital4477d ago
good for you man! i think it’s location based, the reason it’s so sh*tty for me is because it wants me to drive city to city😒the opposite of where i want to go too😁

u/Cpage_888d ago
Last weekend I picked up a dashmart order. The order was for a college near by The customer messaged me and said the address is probably not right but he’ll Have his friends look out for me and he dropped a pin for his location. I said don’t worry about it just make sure I don’t wait too long for you to get your stuff. I get to the location pulled up the pin that he dropped the guys an hour and a half away I talked to dash support, they asked if I wanted to still deliver I said nope, they paid me and let me keep his stuff
2
u/KingCapital4478d ago
damn wtfff?! doubt it was anything good?
1
u/Cpage_888d ago
It was good stuff bro! It had a big bottle of dove men’s shampoo, tooth brush and tooth paste all name brand. Supposed to be to a college dorm at 11:00 on Saturday night. I’d say the guy was trying to get some that night it was his first time using the app

u/KingCapital4478d ago
